Classic Heritage Tour Side Trip Options

The following side trips can replace a few scheduled days in the Classic Heritage Trip route.  All Heritage tours are 15 days rather than 14 starting in the 2010 travel season.  Note that some additional cost is associated with these side trips.
           
Guilin – Located in the Guangxi Province and known for its unique scenery
 
Days 1 - 7    
Day 8 - Xi'an / Guilin (B/D)    
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel followed by checkout
  • Fly to Guilin and have lunch on the airplane
  • Arrive in Guilin and check into the Waterfall Hotel, a 5-star hotel
  • Explore the Reed Flute Cave in the afternoon
  • Dinner with the local representative
  • Take a night boat through the lakes
Day 9 - Guilin / Yangshuo / Guilin (B/L)      
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel
  • Full day river cruise to Yangshuo
  • Lunch on the cruise boat
  • Take a van back to Guilin
  • Family free time for the evening
Day 10 - Guilin / Orphanage Province / Orphanage City (B/D)
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel and then checkout
  • Take a flight to the capital city of your designated province and have lunch on the airplane
  • Arrive in the capital city and take a private van to the orphanage city
  • Arrive in the orphanage city and check into a hotel
  • Dinner with the local representative
Day 11 - Orphanage City / Capital City (B/L)      
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit the found place
  • Lunch followed by hotel checkout
  • Van ride back to the capital city and check into the hotel
  • Family free time for the evening
Days 12 - 15    
  • Same as the Classical Heritage Trip route
  • Both Shanghai and Guangzhou are available as cities to conclude your trip in
Chengdu – Home of the famous Chengdu Panda Preservation Center
Days 1 - 7
Day 8 - Xi'an / Chengdu (B/D)
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel followed by check out
  • Fly to Chengdu and have lunch on the airplane
  • Arrive in Chengdu and check into the Crown Plaza, a 5-star establishment
  • Visit the Chengdu Panda Preservation Center
  • Enjoy a Sichuan style dinner
  • Attend the Sichuan Opera night show
Day 9 - Chengdu (B/L)
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel
  • Full day of sightseeing in Chengdu
  • Lunch together as a group
  • Traditional tea ceremony in the mid-afternoon
  • Family free time for the evening
Day 10 - Chengdu / Orphanage Province / Orphanage City (B/D)
  • Buffet breakfast at the hotel and then checkout
  • Take a flight to the capital city of your designated province and have lunch on the airplane
  • Arrive in the capital city and take a private van to the orphanage city
  • Arrive in the orphanage city and check into a hotel
  • Dinner
Day 11 - Orphanage City / Capital City (B/L)
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Visit the found place
  • Lunch followed by hotel checkout

Days 12 - 15
